With the NFC West teams already have the reputation for solid defense’s, loud stadiums, and crazed fans. It’s time we add another standout category to the list in the NFC West – Young Talented RB’s: Todd Gurley, Thomas Rawls, and David Johnson, Carlos Hyde to be exact.

Those four RBs as a group racked up a total of 3,267 yards and 30 TD while missing 19 games collectively, David Johnson being the only one that didn’t miss a game last season. So it’s going to be interesting to watch this group – 3 out of 4 of which are coming into their sophomore season (Hyde going into his 3rd year) – to see how they all develop and if they can all stay healthy for a full 17 game season.

Todd Gurley has to be the early favorite to come out on top. He is as healthy as he has ever been and finally had a full NFL offseason to prepare for the upcoming season

“Last year I was doing all that rehab, misdirection stuff. So I’ve had a chance to have a real offseason, rest my body, and now I’m back moving around and doing a lot more stuff than I was able to do last year because of my knee injury.”- Todd Gurley

Looking for a back-to-back 1,000+ yard rushing season and pro bowl contention this year.He is also looking to get off to an accelerated start again like he did last year. Rushing for 566 yards in his first 4 games of his career was the best 4 game start EVER in the history of the NFL.

However, the division is stacked- David Johnson will finally get the number 1 role as the starter and receive a good chunk of the carries. So it’s going to be fun to see what he can do being the go-to RB for a full year. Hyde and Rawls will also be talked about quite a bit coming off injuries, both have shown break out potential.
