We continue our look at the Rams Season, breaking down weeks 5-8:

Week 5 home vs Buffalo – W

Prediction Rams 31- Bills 28

Rams return home for the 2nd home game of the season. Rex Ryan has hired his brother Rob this year to run their defense but he is coming off a few rough years bouncing around the league. Bills have some playmakers on offense so I can see a lot of points scored but then again I think our defense will make enough plays near the end to pull out the win. Gurley has another 100+ yard game and Rams win their 3rd game of the season.

Week 6 At Detroit – W

Prediction Rams 28- Lions 23

Rams head to the Midwest to face the Lions in week 6. This game reminds me a lot of week 3 vs the Bucs. Lions could be a team that could be really bad by week 6 or one of the surprises of the NFL. My gut tells me they will be what we typically expect from the lion, which is not a lot, especially now that there is no safety net in Calvin Johnson. It’s going to be up to our defense to get to Stafford and create turnovers, which will be the key to winning games on the road. Over all, hope to see Keenum even more comfortable at this point and another solid game from Gurley. Rams win back-to-back road games.

Week 7 In London Vs Giants- L

Predictions Rams 28 – Giants 35

I think all of our traveling/ road games finally catch up to us. Eli and OBJ should be in mid-season form at this point and if this becomes a shootout I’m just not sure we will be able to keep pace. Plus NY added tons of talent to their defense. This is our first time seeing former Ram Janoris Jenkins who received a five-year $62 million this off-season from the Giants. They also added big time run-stuffer Damon Harrison from the jets. Rams Leave London with a loss.

Week 8- Bye Week

So at the midway point of the season, I have the Rams sitting at 5-2 and most likely sitting near the top of the division. If this is the case and our team is relatively healthy at this point, you would have to consider this a huge success. Any type of winning record at this point would be great for the Rams because the schedule doesn’t get any easier after the break.

Stay tuned for the next breakdown of games 9-12
