Week 9 Home Vs the Panthers- L

Prediction: Rams 21- Panthers 28

Well, it’s not going to be an easy start to the second half of the season. First game back from the break Rams take on the defending NFC champs Carolina Panthers.

Even coming off a full week off to prepare for this home game, I just don’t see the Rams being able to put up enough points to keep pace with Cam Newton and their offense. Rams put up a good fight but I think a few too many turnovers against this strong defense will be too costly.

Week 10 At New York Jets- W

Prediction: Rams 31- Jets 25

Back on the road and all the way across the country to play the Jets. Another tough match up against a team who has been getting better over the last few years. I’m not a believer in Fitzpatrick being a top 10 QB in this league. They Jets obviously do, they are paying him $12 million dollars this year to play.

I think our D-line get to Fitz and creates some turnovers and Gurley establishes the run game which will open up some play-action and deep balls down the field to Austin and Britt. Rams find themselves back in the win column.

Week 11 Home vs Miami Dolphins – W

Prediction: Rams 35- Dolphins 21

Rams return home to face the Dolphins. Dolphins have kind of been the Rams of the AFC for the past few years. They seem to have talent on the team but can never really put it all together and make a playoff push.

With that said, this should be an easy home win for the Rams. These are the type of games that LA needs to win if they want to in a position late in the year to make a playoff push. Gurley and our Defense have a huge game and the Rams win easily in front of 90,000 LA fans.

Week 12 At New Orleans Saints- L

Prediction: Rams 24- Saints 35

Back on the road to face Drew Brees in the Superdome, which is one of the toughest places to get a road win in the NFL. The Saints defense was one of the worst in the league last year, but that was last year. Brees always puts up tons of points at home and I expect this to be no different.

I think the Rams struggle to keep up with the Saints offensive in this one. A few costly turnovers and offensive struggles to keep pace- Rams take the L.

Rams now sit at 7-4 on the season with 5 games remaining. If this is the case they are in perfect position to finish the season strong and make a push for the playoffs. Stay tuned as we finish our season predictions with the last 5 games.
