The Rams will begin their season on the same field where last season ended at Levi’s Field in Santa Clara. The divisional contest will close out the first week of the regular season as the second contest of the Monday Night Football doubleheader. It will also renew the traditional NFC West rivalry between the cities of Los Angeles and San Francisco.

Week 2: vs. Seattle Seahawks (10-6, 2nd place NFC West) | 1:05 p.m.

Professional football will return to L.A. in a big way with the Seahawks coming to town on Sept. 18 for the first NFL game in the city since 1994. The Rams played their home opener against Seattle last season as well, beating them in overtime with a walk-off tackle for loss from defensive tackles Aaron Donald and Michael Brockers.

Week 3: at Tampa Bay Buccaneers (6-10, 4th place NFC South) | 1:05 p.m.
All-time record: 13-8 | Last matchup: Rams won 31-23 in Dec. 2015

The Rams will travel to Tampa Bay to face the Buccaneers for the fifth consecutive year. The good guys have won each of those last four contests.

Week 4: at Arizona Cardinals (13-3, 1st place NFC West) | 1:25 p.m.
All-time record: 37-37-2 | Last road matchup: Rams won 24-22 in Oct. 2015

This matchup last year effectively served as the coming out party for running back Todd Gurley, who rushed for 146 — 144 in the second half — in the Rams’ road victory.

Week 5: vs. Buffalo Bills (8-8, 3rd place AFC East) | 1:25 p.m.
All-time record: 5-6 | Last matchup: Rams won 15-12 in Dec. 2012

L.A. will next come home to face the Bills, who are entering their second year under head coach Rex Ryan. It’ll mark the first time the Buffalo will travel to face the Rams in Southern California since 1983.

Week 6: at Detroit Lions (7-9, 3rd place NFC North) | 10:00 a.m.
